Due to shortages in skilled labour and staff, Australian businesses are able to sponsor suitable skilled staff for their requirements through a strict criteria with a stringent process.

The occupations lists for sponsored visa is updated last by the Department of Home Affairs . As such, there are specific occupation lists for, TSS Short Term - STSOL, TSS Long Term - TSS MLTSLL, as well as the RSMS Occupation List.

Each subclass has a specfic and varied process, and it is imperative to ensure the requirements are met by both the sponsor and the employee before going ahead with such an application.
Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa
The subclass 482 visa, is the TSS Visa that is a temporary visa that allows an employer to sponsor a suitably skilled worker to fill a position they can't find a suitably skilled Australian to fill.

There are two streams to this visa:

Short Term Stream

The basic eligibility for this visa are:

be nominated for a skilled position by an approved sponsor

have the right skills to do the job

meet the relevant English language requirements
Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) Visa
The subclass 187 visa lets skilled workers, who are nominated by their employer in regional Australia, live and work in Australia permanently.

There are two streams to this visa:

Direct Entry Stream

Temporary Residence Transition Stream

be nominated by an approved Australian employer for a job in regional Australia
